If you’re ever in Erie, the museum is totally worth a visit. There’s plenty of things to see and do, including touring the Niagara, a replica of Oliver Hazard Perry’s flagship!

Additionally, every few years the city and the museum play host to the Tall Ships Erie festival, a huge gathering of ships which is a big treat if you’re a lover of sail. You can buy a ticket and cruise around Presque Isle Bay on the Lettie G. Howard . Even the Niagara, if you’ve got the cash. There’s also fun for the whole family, which last time around included the world’s largest inflatable rubber duck. And if you’re lucky, you might be able to get latkes the size of your head from Tater Tater food truck!
