There are known knowns, known unknowns and unknown unknowns. But there are also unknown knowns. We are the Ancient and Esoteric Order of the Jackalope, a secret society devoted to unearthing and sharing this forgotten knowledge.
Here at The Ancient and Esoteric Order of the Jackalope, we aspire to be a latter day Strange Stories, Amazing Facts . Every few weeks we’ll share a story with you, something that we hope will educate and entertain in equal measure. Nothing too long, nothing too short. No topic is off the table — if we find it interesting, we hope you’ll find it interesting too.

Only those who have been initiated into the secret mysteries are allowed to know The Grand Jackalope. Sorry. She’s very secretive. If she is, in fact, a she. She’s so secretive that we won’t even divulge that information. A pain in the butt, I know, but what’s the point of having a secret society if you don’t have a few secrets?
#2 (Robert B. White III)
Robert B. White, III, Esq. has been a practicing Criminal Law Attorney in Pennsylvania and New Jersey since 2002. After working for the Montgomery County Pennsylvania District Attorney’s Office and the New Jersey State Public Defender’s Office, he has been in private practice as a criminal defense trial attorney for nearly 20 years. He is a licensed member of the bar in both the State and Federal Courts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania as well as being admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.

Scientist by day at the local Superconducting Monkey Collider, Slonk spends most of his evenings performing as “The Pedant” in an underground lucha libre tournament. One or both of those statements may not quite be technically accurate. His two cats and wife indulge him in his actual hobby of pushing pieces of cardboard around and pretending that it means something.

Artist. Lover. Social Media Unfluencer. Acknowledged authority on lucrative bogs. Dave “The Knave” White is all this and more. But most days he’s a web developer, graphic designer, and cartoonist. He lives in Pittsburgh with his wife, his two cats, and his crippling obsession with strange trivia.
#16 (Rod Miller)
Rod is a descendant of the Miller family allegedly involved in the kidnapping of Charley Ross. He grew up a family of ten boys and three girls in Mason City, Iowa. He earned undergraduate degrees in Music Education and Social Work at the University of Northern Iowa in 1974 and a master’s degree in Social work at the University of Iowa in 1978; settled in Minneapolis 35 years ago with his life partner; and retired from the mental health profession in 2011. His interest in genealogy began in 1977 when his father removed a black satchel from a mildewed cardboard drum his our wet basement, handed it to him and said, “This is Charley Ross.” (Website)
